Recent Mumbai Attack: Now Here's Something WE INDIANS Can DO

I come to the point, I'll like to tell you something about me. I'm no
professional blogger and you may not find the content here linguistically
perfect. I'm not any highly intellectual person and have hardly ranked among
first 10 in my studies.
Well, I'm writing this since I felt it's something needed while
everyone's looking for some way, some answer as to what can be done in
retaliation to recent Mumbai attacks. Here's what just occured to me and I
thought is worth sharing. I've found enough questions on the web where people
are asking NOW WHAT? This is just my suggestion as to what WE CAN DO,
something really effective. Of course, there'll be loopholes in my suggestion and
so I request the intellectuals to fill them up and share their own suggestions
too which are practical enough to be implemented.
So we all know that politicians are going to do nothing effective to
avoid any such events in future. All they can and probably will do is put up a
drama. They aren't going to do anything unless WE make sure and take some
ACTION to confirm that they act and not just talk. But what can we do? I feel
the blogs, discussions and polls won't suffice. It isn't going to make the government
aware that we INDIANS are now serious enough on this issue and force them to
take some effective step. Here's what I feel can make a difference and can put
at least some pressure on the government to take some steps that can produce
results. It's hard, but it's possible.
While it's possible to put up a poll on the net
and ask people as to whether who are in favor of attack on Pak considering the
recent events, it's not advisable since who knows whether the people who'll be possibly
participating in the poll are real INDIANS or not. So to pursue the government
for going for an attack on terrorist camps on Pak without waiting for the
approval from US (let's ourselves decide for our country than someone else), I
feel we need to gather on the street at a particular time and day all over the
country. If there're people enough interested in taking some concrete step in
reply to this drastic attack, we'll know it for real. Also it's better than
just lighting a candle for those who lost their lives in this attack. As I said
earlier, it’s hard but it's possible.
All we
need is someone competent enough to lead and make arrangements for such a
gathering. I'll have done it if I was able enough, but this task requires as
much intelligence and management as it needs patriotism. Patriotism alone is
not enough in this case. So, if there's someone patriotic intelligent mind who
is capable of suggesting how to make it possible all over the country at the
same time (remember if it's at the same time all over the country, it'll have
more effect and the government will also understand that the public is serious
enough now for a LET GO).
Please let me know what you think and also spread the word if possible.
If you feel this idea can really lead to some result, don’t just keep this to
yourself and make sure you spread the word. You can take the credit of this
idea in that case [i.e. if you’ve liked it any and favor it], if you
wish. Maybe we find someone competent enough to arrange this gathering. If it
happens, I feel something good in REAL can happen. Let's not lose the hope, at
least, for the time being. It's high time now that we came forward.
P.S.:
While the government is urging Pak to hand us the terror suspects and busy in
making a list to provide them along with the proofs, I don't feel this will
lead us anywhere. We've had this kind of nonsense stuff in the past too, needless to mention - in vain.
